A Guide to Nevada Records
Nevada Busted Mugshots was made to help readers find the right public source for an arrest or booking question. The first record is usually local: the arresting agency and the county jail can hold intake details, a booking number, and a booking photo when one is made and released. Each county runs its own roster, feed, and request process, so a result in one county does not stand in for the rest of the state.
The next record may live elsewhere. A court file shows how a case moved after booking, while the Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC) covers people serving a Nevada state-prison sentence. This site connects readers to those official systems and the county-level guides. It does not copy or store the records or photos it describes.
What the Nevada Guide Covers
The pages explain the statewide record layers and direct each search to the office that holds the source material:
- The Nevada search and records guide explains county rosters and feeds, booking records, and the difference between an arrest and a court result.
- The County Directory routes readers to the Nevada county and city guides for local official sources.
- Statewide guides cover wanted listings, Nevada mugshot access law, historical records, and notable cases.
- The NDOC guide explains the state offender search and how it differs from a county booking record.
What This Site Cannot Do
This is an independent project, not an office of Nevada or any sheriff, police department, jail, court, or corrections agency. It cannot release or transfer a person in custody, confirm a person's current custody or case outcome, or act on a record held by an agency.
- We cannot hold or release anyone, post bond, arrange a visit, or send money.
- We cannot retrieve an official record or provide a booking photo.
- We cannot advise you on a legal matter.
Only the agency or court that holds a record can confirm its current status. A listing or booking entry is not a court finding of guilt.
Search Partners
Some search boxes on this site are run by outside providers. Those providers set their own prices and control the search results. If a visitor follows one of those tools to a paid signup, this site may receive a referral fee. That fee helps cover the cost of keeping the guide available; it does not give us control over a partner's service or results.
