Information You Submit
Search Terms
A name, place, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Nevada Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider may handle them under its separate terms and privacy notice.
Messages
If you send a message through a project contact channel, the information in it may be kept so it can be reviewed and answered. It is not shared outside the project unless that is needed to respond or the law requires disclosure. Do not send sensitive personal or case information through an unverified channel.
Technical Data and Cookies
When a page loads, the site or its service providers may receive basic technical details such as:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
- The referring page, when available
- Date and time stamps
Cookies
Cookies may help measure how visitors use the guide and support site features. Browser settings can block or remove them. Some functions may work differently when cookies are disabled.
How Information Is Used
Information may support the site's basic operation, improve its pages, and help providers deliver search or ad services. Uses can include:
- Keep the site available and responsive
- Send search requests to the provider that runs a search tool
- Understand which guide pages visitors use
- Find and repair technical problems
- Show advertising that may reflect general interests
Outside Links and Services
This guide links to Nevada county rosters, sheriff and corrections pages, court portals, federal locators, county-level guides, and third-party search services. Once you follow a link, that provider's privacy rules apply. Nevada's Public Records Act, NRS Chapter 239, governs access to public records held by state and local agencies; it does not set the search-query practices of outside websites.
Advertising partners may also track activity across different sites for ad measurement or selection. That tracking takes place on their systems, under their policies.
Who May Receive Information
Personal information is not sold by this project. Information may still be handled by the service types below:
- Search partners that process queries entered in their tools
- Analytics providers that measure site use
- Advertising networks that serve or assess ads
- Law enforcement or government bodies responding to a valid legal order
Safeguarding Information
Reasonable steps are used to protect information handled by this project. No internet-connected system can be promised fully secure, and no method can prevent every loss, misuse, or unauthorized access.
Visitors Under 18
This guide is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a person under 18 has submitted information through a project channel, a parent or guardian may ask for it to be removed from project-held records.
Your Data Requests
Depending on the law that applies, you may ask for a copy, correction, or removal of information this project holds, or opt out of certain processing. These requests apply only to information controlled here; they cannot change a government record or reach data held by search, analytics, or advertising providers. No direct email or submission form for such requests is published on this site.
- Ask for a copy of project-held information
- Ask to correct information that is wrong
- Ask for information to be erased where applicable
- Opt out of certain processing where that right applies

This notice may be revised as the site or its services change. A new version will appear on this page with its updated effective date.
